My parents raised me well...I was taught how to respect people and acknowledged their status, aspirations and wisdom. Although our faults and weaknesses rule our lives sometimes, but our experience and wisdom always brought us back to sanity of how we were raised.

I lived in Durham Region but Toronto isn't so far to connect and make friends. I can't remember anymore how I came to know Rodney Ronquillo and Chyrell Samson and how our friendship began. All I knew that along the way, we support each other, at times or simply just being a friend on occasional basis. But we never lose track of each other, for me, I followed them on their platforms for updates and status.

One of Toronto's most respected artists, Rodney Ronquillo and Chyrell Samson travelled to Durham Region during our Simbang Gabi and made perfect collaborations with our Choir. Rodney played the piano while his wife Chyrell interjects with her beautiful vocals. They add beauty to our Simbang Gabi.

They started joining us at our mass culmination on our first year at St. Therese in 2014 in Courtice, Ontario where this wonderful tradition began. They came back again this year at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Oshawa on December 24th, 2016.

I believe in friendship and Rodney and Chyrell Samson are two wonderful people in our lives who crossed our path for more reason than one. Currently, they are working on my music composition where the couple make it alive through their gift of music. Rodney & Chyrell made the more special connections with me, to our community in Durham Region and to my roommate who was privileged collaborating  with them for our mass songs this past Christmas.

And yes, we met people for a reason.
