THE MAN WHO STOOD ATOP THE RUBBLES ON THE AFTERMATH OF BOHOL EARTHQUAKE as mayor of Maribojoc defending his convictions is now slated to arrive Toronto on July 7th, 2017- the Philippine Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. who was instrumental in the sweeping success of Pres. Duterte's Candidacy will join his fellow Boholanos in celebrating CONBUSAC (Congress of Boholanos of USA-Canada) this July 7-9, 2017 hosted by the Bohol Association of Canada. It was January this year when everyone almost strangled me by using the phone while the awarding ceremony in which I was an Awardee was ongoing. My mindset is purely embedded in social media that communications of utmost importance must be dealt with irregardless of where I was.

A very good friend and cousin of Sec. Evasco Jr. was on the phone announcing his visit to Canada and was asking me to augment his visit. A friend who fought for his landed status in Canada for over 10 years in which I and the community stood by him, gave my unconditional letter of support to his lawyers. He got it, traveled around the Prairies and the North Territories. He is currently recuperating from a heart surgery in the border of BC and Alberta promising to come back here, the place he called home with the people who loved and supported him in his long years of ordeal.

Augmenting the visit of a very colorful man of many journeys and experiences, the man who was a priest and followed his convictions and joined the rebels in the mountains until captured and heavily tortured in the Marcos era, if I am right, is a request that I will gladly do.

A man now serving the echelon of a government destined to steer a country to become one of Asia's tigers. Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr., who was, in the time of his legal battles as a Communist member and prosecuted by the same man in which he carved the blueprint to become the next president of the Philippines, will join us, speak to us and answer our queries of whatever doubts we have on the current government.

I can't wait to see him and meet this man who can teach us the art of defending the things we champion in life. PHILIPPINE CABINET SECRETARY....You will not miss it on July 9, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi in Newcastle when he will allow himself to be heard and for us to listen straight from the man who knows the real stories we desperately needed in our continued support to Pres. Duterte.
