Beauty In Darkness: An Indie Film That Will Soak Your Heart
JANET NAPOLES funnelled billions of monies to NGOs in those days when her modus operandi was still unknown. It was a very well- orchestrated agenda involving Philippine politicians in high places, Congressmen, Senators, corrupt government agencies, handlers, fixers, community leaders. It crawled in all places as well as faking projects defrauding the Filipino people of their tax money that were supposed to be used to alleviate every Filipino.
A journalist stopped Napoles on her tracks and everything rolled into light; money laundering in massive proportion. None of those involved are actually sentenced and incarcerated for defrauding the people, except the main character who manned the ship of corruption, Janet Napoles.
Then comes Duterte, who won in a landslide as the country's iron- clad president. His massive victory maybe attributed in part of a disgruntled population and Napoles scheme may have played the role. I campaigned for this man vigorously online, in my network. On the night of the election, my friends and families consulted me if they are to vote for him and I said yes.
Every Filipino wanted change. Every Filipino is fed up with so much corruption in the government. For so long it feels like waking up and make a choice for what they thought is their only hope. President Duterte, despite his flawed character, his approval rating is still way up. Meaning, the people has still faith in him.
Including me...I still believe in him. But how much of him can really handle the long stretch of corruption? Those people around him, are they really sincere? Those pretending to be his diehard followers, are they really into guarding his fight against corruption?
Why is it important that we need to know? Because we want to help alleviate the economic conditions of the Filipino people, because we need to guard against opportunists who may used him to their own caprices and advantage.
Who are really instrumental in making sure this president succeed? No one but us. We not only guard ourselves against contamination, against being used, against becoming a brainless hosts to corruption, against using our community and our leaders. I guess not in our midst?
Watch this video to the end and look inside to the core of your conscience and ask, "Am I a part of enslaving these people in utter poverty? Am I a part of something to cause misery to my people?" If you did, there is that thing we call, "Retribution." The days of reckoning can come at any moment.
I am Canadian and Canadian culture limits the ability to all forms of corruption. It shouldn't happened here. If it hasn't already?

A friend of mine sent me this video to touch our hearts of the realities of what life is in the country we all walked away from to find our own refuge and comfort. This video will gripped your heart. The people here are the end product of corruption where those millions enjoyed by a few could have been used to build infrastructures, health care centres, schools, food productions...everything to make life less tragic to so many.
