Keeping The Legacy Alive: Rosemer Enverga To Run For PC Nomination In Mississauga-Centre

For the last 4 years of Simbang Gabi, the late Senator Enverga gave his undying support to this Christmas tradition. This year in his absence, Rosemer Enverga and their children filled that void.  Photo by Li ERON at St. Therese Church, Courtice in 2017 with Pablito Leonardo during the Offertory.

The news of the late Senator Enverga's wife vying for the PC Nomination as MPP in the riding of Mississauga-Centre surprises me. Although someone already told me about her name floating as a potential PC Candidate tossed by Filipino leaders in said riding, I was still taken aback not because she is not qualified for the job she is vying for, but I thought it could be too early to thrust herself into  this kind of battle.

But with the departure of the previous Candidate for reasons we do not know, it may have been fate that puts Rosemer Enverga in a road we all wanted her to be; Service and Representation. With the eternal departure of her husband who has served our community to the best of his ability. With him died our pride and our voice, someone with knowledge and camaraderie in our community must replace and rekindle the legacy our first Filipino-Canadian Senator left behind.

I do not endorse anyone who aspired to climb up the ladder in name of representing our community. I must have proof and I must do research on these aspirants of who and what really are their profiles and purpose. We do not just grab and follow the throngs of desperate people wanting to throw their support without proper examination of who they are. I don't want someone suddenly appearing and proclaiming their passion to serve. Rosemer Enverga has been around n my world as a community leader since 2014. The length of time that I've been with the Senator and Mrs. Enverga on dozens of occasions is enough to attest that yes, we've got a dedicated voice to represent us starting at our provincial government of Ontario.

This is our time to rally behind a woman whom I've known to be sincere, down to earth in dealing with the members of the community she is with. With her exposure on the life of her husband as member of the Senate of Canada, she has gathered enough experience to follow decorums and a dignified representation we all need.

Let me call on my friends to call on their friends and families in Mississauga-Centre and put her there so we can find our voice once more. Let us leave behind the negative circumstances and let the best among us pave the way so this woman find a place in the Ontario Legislature where we can walk in and let our issues and social predicaments be channelled by her.

Filipino-Canadians now have the power to install someone to run as MPP in the coming election. Ink her nomination by becoming a member of the PC to be able to vote for her Nomination. Further info will be provided from my platforms to guide my friends on how to help her win the Nomination. Rosemer Enverga is the best voice we have and we don't want to miss the chance to put her there.

Her opportunity to position herself is very short. Filipino-Canadians in Mississauga-Centre must move fast to secure her Nomination. I'll do my part the best way I can as I stood for her desire to carry our voice.

If you know a Filipino-Canadian candidate in your riding by heart and worthy to be elected, support them irregardless of political affiliations.
